Comfort her in her pain. Keep her spirit up. Be with her in the moments when I can’t be there — in the night, in the fear, in the medical processes that feel overwhelming.
And give me what I need to be present for her: the strength, the patience, the clarity to make good decisions for her care.

Prayer When Your Mother Is Seriously Ill
God, the diagnosis is serious. I’m scared. The thought of losing her — or watching her suffer through this — is one I’m struggling to hold.
I know You are with her. I’m asking You to make Your presence felt to her — that she would not feel alone in what she’s going through. That she would have peace even in pain.
And be with our family as we navigate this. Give us wisdom about her care, patience with each other, and the grace to focus on what matters right now — which is her, and the time we have together.
Whatever comes, let her know she is deeply loved — by us, and by You.
