When your child is sick, something primal kicks in. Every parenting instinct says: fix this, take this from them, make it stop. And when you can’t — when the illness is serious or the diagnosis is uncertain or the treatment is hard — that helplessness is crushing.

Parents throughout history have brought their sick children to Jesus. It’s one of the most consistent themes in the Gospels. Jairus’s daughter. The Syrophoenician woman’s daughter. What Scripture Says When Your Child Is Sick

Mark 5:22-23 records Jairus falling at Jesus’s feet and pleading: “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.” No theology. No complex prayer. Just a parent on his knees saying: please help my daughter.

Jesus went with him. He goes with you too.
