Prayer for a Job Interview: How to Pray Before, During, and After

The morning of a job interview is its own kind of stress. You have prepared as well as you can. You have researched the company, rehearsed your answers, picked out what to wear. But there is still the part you cannot control — the questions you did not anticipate, the hiring manager’s mood, the other candidates you will never meet. Prayer before a job interview is not a technique to guarantee the outcome. God is not a cosmic vending machine dispensing job offers to the most devout. But prayer does several things that are genuinely useful before high-stakes moments: it reorients your heart, reduces anxiety, reminds you of who you are apart from the outcome, and opens you to guidance you might not find on your own.
